The Sourin award is named after the founder of the Philopatrian, Fr. Edward J. Sourin, SJ:
The award is designed to recognize those individuals who have followed the example of Father Edward Sourin, our founder, in dedicating their lives to the day to day implementation of their Catholic faith in their businesses, in their family lives and in their social activities.
Put most simply, the Sourin Award is given to those who embody the motto of the Philopatrian: “Revere the Church, thy Mother, and love thy Fatherland.” In other words, it’s awarded to those whose practice a remarkable faith and citizenship.
This award dinner normally takes place in Spring See the list of former winners.
